This semester had a rushy start. Like a very big rollercoaster that keeps climbing and climbing and actually you are a bit afraid because.. what would happen if you suddenly stop climbing and fall down? Scary feeling, remember?
Well this feeling is what I had here the last month. Events, people, difficult classes kept on stacking onto eachother without some ventilation. Not always a nice feeling I can tell you! But like every rollercoaster.. they are built to have fun! And it might not the easiest way, I’m still happy this is my way, my rollercoaster!
For example, the Master Mint program is really tough. I even had/have some doubt about this master, but I’ve to shed my skin and keep going. Some of these classes are not built for my profile, but nothing is impossible.. It might not be in 3 semesters as somebody told me, but no disaster because I have 4 semesters time!
Another nice example of the fun rollercoaster is Ateneatech. These people are so nice! Really, if you like to have a website built in Drupal and you’re from Barcelona, or even spain, you should consider this company. Not only because they are good technical people but because they have a good vision on what service is in my eyes. They have their eyes directed in the right direction. And this is really important for me. It was the reason why I started drupal development at Krimson. And the same reason I started half-time with Ateneatech! I even have a profile on their site and a blog item devoted to me!
The nicest example of my rollercoaster here are the people. I’m becoming half-polish because I have so many Polish friends that are awesome! Ok also alot of other nationalities but these people are really a world apart, in the positive way ofcourse!
What’s more! In my humble house here in Barcelona we have a cat. The name is Tortuga (Turtle) and is from Alexandra (French roommate). It’s not my favourite animal but it’s quite cute actually. Just when she tries to get into my room at night, trying to open my door with her little paws, i remember myself that I’m dog person…
Ok, the last thing! Jint asked me to do a conference call on the Go-Strange event that will take place 15 October (I didn’t know but the website is drupal!) This event is to promote international projects to study, work or being a volunteer somewhere. Between 18.00 and 18:30 you can hear me at the Jint location live from Spain! So please go there if you want to hear me talking! :)
That’s it folks!
See you in another episode of Vermalens en Veenhof’s projects. Remember: A little effort for Vermalens and Veenhof’s projects might be a worlds difference! (not sure if it’s the exact translation but dutch people will know what I mean!)
Hasta luego!
